Jesper is a Danish freelance journalist and photographer who has been living in Rome since 1997. He has a degree as a translator between Danish and Italian. For ten years he worked at the Danish embassy in Rome dealing with Italian economy and politics. In 2008 he left the embassy to pursue his passions: journalism and photography. Jesper’s articles about Italian society – wine/food, travel articles, culture, politics, interviews – have been published in 19 different countries worldwide. He has made three travel guides about Rome/Italy and a fourth guide – about Rome’s restaurants – was published in Denmark in December 2019. In April 2022 Jesper published quite a different book about Rome - “The invisible Rome” – which is a neorealist portrait of the eternal city.
